BHT is organising a prestigious black tie dinner on Saturday 8th October to raise funds for First Base Day Centre.
The dinner will be held at St Stephen’s Hall, the home of First Base, in Montpelier Place, Brighton, and will be hosted by the Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Cllr Pete West.
Entertainment will be provided by the amazing Brighton Early Music Festival Community Choir.
I like the contrast between a black tie dinner and helping homeless people. It is outrageous that in one of the richest cities in one of the richest countries in all the world, we have people sleeping on the streets.
This dinner will allow people with a social conscious to make a big difference to our work by supporting this event and at the same time enjoy some great food and the wonderful Brighton Early Music Festival Community Choir.
This is the first dinner of its kind that we have organised, but we think it will be such a success that it will soon become a ‘must do’ date in people’s calendars.
Food will be prepared by Dine!, BHT’s social enterprise catering project.
Tickets, costing £50 per head (includes a three course meal and wine) can be purchased from my colleague Sara Peskett on 01273 326844 or contact her by email.
